2026 INVOICES & BILLING STATEMENTS

Payment Deadline: December 31, 2026

All invoices must be paid by December 31, 2026 to avoid an 8% penalty on January 1, 2027.

Please note: The 2026 Combined Assessment & Billing Notices follow existing LNID invoicing format and billing processes. The 2026 Irrigation Water Rates are $21.00/acre (plus GST), and the pressure surcharge is $0.37/psi/acre (plus GST), to a maximum of 65 psi. To review all 2026 Rates & Fees, please click here.

Looking ahead in 2027, a new online water user portal, STORM, will be implemented to provide invoice itemization.

Irrigation Acre Assessments

A 2.5% discount is available on qualifying 2026 Irrigation Acre assessments. To receive this discount, payment must be received by October 31, 2026.

Payment Options

Payments can be made via the following methods:

• Cash

• Cheque

• E-Transfer (send to ar@lnid.ca, referencing account number and/or name), or

• Online Banking

Cheque Payments

Cheques must be postmarked by the respective due dates to qualify for discounts or avoid penalties:

• In Person: Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
• Postdated Cheques: Cheques may be postdated for the due date and mailed in advance. The LNID will hold and process the cheque on the postdated date.
• LNID Mailbox: Secure drop-off is available at the LNID office’s outside entryway mailbox.
• Standard Mail: Mailed cheques must be postmarked by December 31, 2026 for full payment.

Important: If mailing close to the deadline, request a manual postmark from your post office to avoid delays in the sorting process.

Account Number: Your account number is the 5-digit number located in the upper right corner of your invoice.

Receipts: Receipts will only be provided for cash payments or upon request.

DEADLINE FOR NEW TURNOUT APPLICATIONS: DECEMBER 31, 2026

Water users can apply for new turnout installations on LNID infrastructure until December 31, 2026. Please call Tanner Philipps, Technical Services Manager, for more information (403-327-3302).

DEADLINE FOR TRANSFER OF IRRIGATION ACRES APPLICATIONS: FEBRUARY 26, 2027

Irrigation acre transfers are available until February 26, 2027 for the 2027 irrigation season.

Transfers are from one titled irrigation parcel to another titled irrigation parcel. The current fee for a transfer is $1,050.00 (GST inclusive). Construction Contribution charges will be assessed for irrigation acres transferred onto LNID pipelines.

LNID PROJECT UPDATE

This month, LNID has been working on the constructed wetland that will lead to a new intake and pump station as part of the Boras Reservoir Balancing Project, located west of the intersection of Highways 25 and 845. Crews are also addressing cleanup items on several substantially complete projects from the 2025/26 construction season. We will be profiling key projects on the LNID website periodically throughout the construction season.

PICTURE BUTTE RESERVOIR

A reminder that LNID will be drawing down Picture Butte Reservoir below normal winter levels in 2026/2027 to accommodate dam safety and other maintenance activities. Be aware that heavy equipment will be operating on and around the dam as well as nearby canals and structures.
